Hilda Louise Rus Graham, passed away on June 17, 2014, in Anchorage, AK. Louise was born in Newton Township, Illinois, on October 25, 1920, to Jacob and Ella Rus and throughout her childhood resided in the same area.

She married Charles Graham in 1941 and they first ventured to Tucson, Arizona in 1952, making that their new home. Many years later in the mid 70's they came to Alaska on vacation and never left, fulfilling a lifetime dream.

Louise had many talents; she sold Real Estate in her younger years then ventured into owning and operating her own apartment business.

She also had a "Heart of Gold" and helped many people who were down and out or homeless and in need of care, food, and shelter.

Louise is survived by her children, Sharon Sprute, Gary (Shanda) Graham, Doug Graham, and Gregg (Julia) Graham. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Steve (Niki), Keli (Rich), Marc (Robin), Brad, Corbin (Jo), Barret, Sheldon, Brandon, and Mason. Also her great grandchildren, Richelle, Ryan, Amanda, Madison, Reed, Zachary, Austin, Tyler, Trever, Kaylee, Sabrina, and Parker. She also had one great great granddaughter, Leyton.

Louise loved life and will be missed very much by all who knew her. She valued her friendships and over the years these many people would get together at local restaurants for coffee and to chat. She was truly loved by everyone including her beloved pets.

We know she is soaring with the angels because she herself was an angel here on earth. We can never walk in her footsteps but we will do our best to carry on with her principles and selfless, caring ways.

She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Graham, her parents Jacob and Ella Rus, sister Tena Meinema, brother Raymond Rus, son-in-law Jim Sprute, granddaughter-in-law Robin S. Fitzgerald, and her longtime friend Dyrck DeWitt.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 28th, at 1:00 p.m., at Kehl's Legacy Funeral Home, 11621 Old Seward Highway. Burial to follow at Angelus Memorial Park Cemetery at 440 E Klatt Rd.
