Anchorage resident James Stephen Hansmeyer, 61, went to be with The Lord on June 30, 2014. James was born on August 7, 1952, in Belleville, Illinois, to Rosemary and John Hansmeyer.

James graduated from Belleville Township High School East in 1970. James lived most of his adult life in Cape Coral, Florida.
James is survived by his Mother, Rosemary Hansmeyer; Sisters, Janet Kramer (Boyd), Anne Silberstein (Kurt), Lynn Cudlipp (Jeff), Joe (Vita),Paul (Deborah), Mark(Janina); and fifteen nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Services will be held at Holy Family Cathedral, 800 W 5th Ave, on Thursday, July 3rd, at 12:10 p.m., with a small reception to follow at the church. Interment will be held at the Anchorage Memorial Park Cemetery at 2:30 p.m., following the reception.
Arrangements are with Janssen's Evergreen Memorial Chapel.
