Her brother Bill wrote, "I have so many good memories of Mary Frances. From her running around the smokehouse in her little white shoes, making her own modifications to my model airplanes, to basketball practice with our brother Reinhold using garbage cans on top of the counter at the old Wien office in King Salmon. She was a nice, caring, funny girl and a dear sister. I love her and miss her."

Her sister Bobbie wrote, "She was a wonderful fabulous girl that I will miss all day, everyday. Always smart, funny and full of fun. She was a bright spot in an otherwise busy day; very talented and knowledgeable in both serious and frivolous ways; friendly and nice to everyone."

Her brother Reinhold remembers how much fun she had with his daughters; making home-made lemonade and pickles, decorating pumpkins and painting.

Survivors include her mother, Bertha Tolbert of King Salmon; brother and wife, Bill and Marilyn Tolbert of King Salmon; sister, Bobbie Tolbert of Wasilla; sister and husband, Georgia Tolbert and Michael Gagnon of Anchorage; brother and wife, Reinhold and Krissy Tolbert of Las Vegas; brother and wife, Steve and Sue Tolbert of Sanford, Tasmania; and many beloved family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Bill Tolbert, Sr.
