Antril Sanguinetti Obituary

Antril Dean Sanguinetti, 51, passed away in an automobile accident on the Parks Highway on Dec. 22, 2014. A celebration of life will be held at Greater Friendly Temple COGIC, located at 6310 Debarr Road in Anchorage, Alaska, on Saturday, Jan. 3, 2015, at 2 p.m. with Elder James Willis as the officiant. Antril was born in Kodiak, Alaska, on Oct. 6, 1963. He moved to Anchorage in 1975, and attended and graduated from East High School. Antril worked for Delta Western, Inc. in Anchorage, Alaska, and was a member of the New Antioch Church of God In Christ and Russian Orthodox while growing up. His family wrote, "Antril was one in a million; he was a down to earth, real person. He wouldn't start or end his day without giving God reverence and endow himself in the Word of God. His favorite scripture was Psalms 27. He had a zest for life and a love for all music, but especially reggae. He enjoyed sports (basketball, football, fishing and hunting) however, Nascar racing and the Olympics were his special interests. His dog, Maxwell, was his buddy! He had a sense of humor and a smile that was contagious to everyone he encountered. He could re-enact anyone very well and have you laughing! Antril would give the coat off his back and would always be there when you needed an ear or a shoulder to lean on. Antril had a genuine gift of LOVE! He will be greatly missed... but NEVER FORGOTTEN!" Survivors include his wife, Benita Sanguinetti, whom he loved dearly; mother, Annie Sanguinetti; sisters, Laura Mullan and Ramona Stowe; brothers, Rocco, Frank and Mark Sanguinetti; nephews, Shannon McCorkle, Varian, Sacha and Micah Sanguinetti; brother-in-law, Patrick Mullan; best friends, Raul Rouzan and Dave Stevenson; sisters-in-law, Rosenda Reed, Claudia Abrams, Lydia Quinn and Dominica Topps; and a host of nieces and nephews, family and friends, we ALL will miss you! He was preceded in death by his sister, Cecilia Sanguinetti; brother, Henry "Snooky" Sanguinetti Jr.; father, Henry Sanguinetti Sr.; nephew, Dwayn Mullans; and sister, Lydia Pollard. Arrangements are with Janssen's Evergreen Memorial Chapel.

Words nor tears can express the feelings of a loss so greet. A true friend, a man with a heart of gold. It was my pleasure to have shared in your life and to call you my friend. My memories are many, though the one that holds fast is the pride we shared as we walked together for our East high school graduation. You in front of me with that big smile and the sharing of such a big accomplishment, as we poked fun at each other with our high school memories. Gone too soon. RIP my friend, know that you are truly loved and missed by many.

On this day of remembering the life and times of one Antril Sanguinetti, I can honestly say that this fine young man was one if the best people I have ever met in my lifetime! As a friend he ALWAYS kept me laughing, as a co-worker he ALWAYS performed at the highest level, and as a brother in our Lord Jesus Christ - I WILL look forward to the day when we embrace again. Antril I miss you and I LOVE you my good friend. The bar in Heaven has just been raised and the angels are rejoicing and laughing with your arrival!! My prayers and tears go to your beautiful wife Benita. Your Love for her was ever present each and everyday! I pray that Jesus wrap his all mighty arms around her and comfort her at this time. As a founding member of the band "The Statewide Petroleum Gassers" you rocked us all with your awesome plumbing solos and your unparalleled troubleshooting skilz!! Long live the king of dispensers...You shredded like a big dog my man!! " Pump going 1, Pump going 2, you come now I give you extra five bucks..." To mirror the words of one of your favorite expressions " What you are doing Gussick?", I can only say the WE all collectively miss our brother and we will ALWAYS remember your LIGHT Antril. John 3:16 says "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only begotten son, and who ever believes in him will NOT perish, but will have ever lasting life!!" As such I WILL see you again my friend. Your Brother Jed

My heart goes out his wife Benita, there will be a big void in our lives because Antril was man who understood life and was a shinning example of how to live it. He understood how important love is, and that kindness is rewarded. He will be missed but never forgotten. I am blessed for having known him. Goodbye old friend.

I will always remember him in his youth when I last saw him. Always a loving and kind spirit to all. Kind Regards Kyra

Antril was a good man, I was always running into him on jobs throughout Alaska. He was one of the best trouble shooting tech's I have ever known. He new his stuff and he was very good at his work. The last time I saw him was at the gas station and I told him I was retiring from UST inspection work and I wanted him to have all my study books. He gladly excepted them and we talked for a bit and got caught up on everything. He will be truly missed. A good man taken way to early.
