REYNOLDSBURG Gary Stephen Longstreth, age 66, of Reynoldsburg OH formerly of Dayton passed away Wednesday, December 9, 2015 after an extended illness. He was born in Warren, the son of the late Stephen J. and Ruth N. Galbreath Wilson Longstreth. He was a 1967 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School and was a member of the Panther football team. He attended YSU and graduated from ATES Technical Institute with a degree in Electronics Technology. He also worked for General Motors Lordstown previously and the Trumbull County Engineers. He enjoyed all sports being a diehard Cleveland Browns, Indians, and Cavaliers fan as well as the Ohio State Buckeyes. He enjoyed music, reading, personal computing . Gary played little league as a child as well as pool and bowling as an adult. He retired from the Department of Defense as an Electronics Technician in 2012. He is survived by his daughter Alexis and son Aaron of Reynoldsburg and Columbus respectively, his sister, Patricia (Lee) Dotson of Champion, OH as well as his Uncle Chet and Aunt Jean Galbreath of the Warren area, and numerous nieces and nephews and cousins in the Warren/Cortland areas as well as Pennsylvania and MN areas. Gary is also survived by his brother-in-law Mark Blessing of Warren and cousin and best friend Rick Krolkosky of Warren, and his former wife Margaret (Peggy) Smith Laird of Columbus. He was preceded in death by his little sister, Bobbi Jo Longstreth Blessing earlier this year. There will be a service at Pineview Memorial Park in the chapel on Thursday, January 21, 2016 at 12:00 PM. The family requests no flowers.
