To Helena's loving family,

I have such very fond memories of Burt and Helena. They were always gracious, generous, intelligent and had a great sense of humor. We shared her love of cooking and style and his love of jazz. I know I tried more than once to figure out her sewing machine ...to no avail. When they moved from The Woodlands Helena gave me one of her favorite roasting pans that I still use to this day, along with several of her recipes (Mandelbrot still one of my personal favorites). Burt gave my husband, Joe, his favorite Jazz vinyls that are true classics I still enjoy. I have a letter she wrote when she worked for WCBS-TV to the Cordon Bleu Restaurant and Cooking School advising them how to properly make "Fresh Shrimp Salad, French Dressing and Mayonnaise Sauce" dated July 7, 1949...I keep in on display in my kitchen as it has always brought me joy. (It is not signed, but she advised me she wrote it).

I am saddened by your loss and hope that the wonderful woman Helena was will continue to bring you joy in all your memories.

Love,
Krista Henkel-Selph
