Aaldert M. vanDinteren
AIKEN, SC - Mr. Aaldert M. vanDinteren passed away Wednesday, May 27th.
Al was born on March 21, 1931 in Njymegan, The Netherlands to Martinus
Jacobus and Lucia Willems vanDinteren.
Al leaves behind his loving wife Marsha Wilson vanDinteren as well as his son, Martin George vanDinteren (Valerie), daughters, Erna Lucia vanDinteren (Art), Anita Padgett (Andrew), Charlotte Conner (Russ), 12 Grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and 4 brothers and sisters in The Netherlands. After graduating from college he served in the Royal Dutch Air Force as an Electronic Engineer. Al immigrated to America in 1956. He moved from San Diego to Aiken in 1978. He worked at WAGT 26, WRDW 12, Comcast and WBPI 49. He enjoyed his family and friends, soccer, playing guitar and the outdoors.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, May 31st, 6:00 PM at Christ Way Christian Church located on Old Wagener Road, Aiken, (corner of Rudy Mason Parkway and Old Wagener Road).
The family will receive visitors at the home of Andrew Padgett, 971 Dougherty Road, Aiken before and after the funeral service.
