Adam Degaglia
NORTH AUGUSTA, SC - Mr. Adam Degaglia, 89, husband of the late Christine Durst Degaglia, of Oak Creek Drive, entered into rest on Thursday, August 25, 2016 at his residence.
His memorial service with Military Honors was held at 2:00 PM on Monday, August 29, 2016 in the Chapel of Rowland Funeral Home with Rev. Robert M. Hartley, of Anglican Church of the Holy Trinity, and Patrick Darnell officiating.
Mr. Degaglia was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church of North Augusta. He was a retired mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service. Mr. Degaglia was a WWII veteran, serving in Okinawa, Japan and Germany with U.S. Army.
Mr. Degaglia is survived by a daughter, Ursula "Ulla" Ellefson of North Augusta, SC; a brother, Peter Degaglia of Washington, DC; a sister, Carol Mollica of Florida, three grandchildren, Brian Ellefson (Anita), Ty Ellefson (Lorrie), Nyles Ellefson (Juanita), all of North Augusta; and six great-grandchildren Kristin, Rachel, Ashley, Katelyn, Hannah, and Jack.
The family received friends at the funeral home after the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Anglican Church of the Holy Trinity, 160 Merovan Drive, North Augusta, SC 29860.
