Bath, SC - Funeral Services for Mr. Allen Dwight "A.D." Quiller, 66, of Bath, SC, who entered into rest April 19, 2014 at University Hospital will be conducted Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Jacksonville Missionary Baptist Church. Rev. Ralph Holloway officiating. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery with Veterans Honors.
Mr. Quiller was a 1965 graduate of Martha Schofield High School. He was a veteran of the United States Army. Mr. Quiller served in Vietnam where he received the Purple Heart and many other distinguished medals. He returned home and began working for E.I. DuPont at the Savannah River Plant. Mr. Quiller was a member of Jacksonville Missionary Baptist Church, Graniteville, SC where he had served as a Trustee. He also attended Augusta Technical College studying Computer Programming and the University of South Carolina Aiken studying Accounting. Mr. Quiller was preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Dorothy Quiller, a brother William Quiller, and a granddaughter Jasmine Perry.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 44 years, Doris Quiller, Bath, SC; one son Andre' (Adrienne) Quiller, Johnston, SC; two daughters, Alisa (Don) Perry, Aiken, SC and Anna Shamica (Kurth) Connell, Seattle, WA; two sisters Dorothy Newsome and Mildred Quiller both of Graniteville, SC; one brother, Samuel H. (Sharon) Quiller, Graniteville, SC; eleven grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Active pallbearers will be Tim Butler, Sr., Byron Butler, Devon Perry, Oscar Quiller, James Butler, Sr., Darwin Dandy, Morgan Quiller, Wade Waymer, and Byron Doe.
The Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home this Thursday evening from 5 until 7.
