TRENTON, S.C. - Mr. Alvin H. Stevens, Jr., of Mt. Zion Road, retired educator, entered into rest July 6, 2014. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. Friday, July 11, 2014 at Our Lady of Peace of North Augusta. Mr. Stevens, a native of Aiken County, had lived most of his life in Edgefield County. He was a member of Our Lady of Peace of North Augusta. Survivors include his wife, Ann Reid Stevens; three daughters, Angela G. Stevens, Alesia Stevens Gross and Anita Stevens; a son, Alvin H. Stevens, III; a sister, Jean Stevens; five brothers, Billy Stevens, John Stevens, Robert Stevens, Ralph Stevens and Patrick Stevens; 7 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild; a host of other relatives and friends. A Prayer Vigil will be held at 5:30 p.m. today and the family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Friends may call the residence or after 1 p.m. today at the funeral home..
