Arlene B. Brown
NORTH AUGUSTA, SC - Funeral Services for Mrs. Arlene Bailey Brown, 89, of North Augusta, SC, who entered into rest August 4, 2016, will be conducted Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Posey Funeral Chapel. Pastor Barry Antley officiating. Interment in Sunset Memory Gardens.
Mrs. Brown was a native of Swansea, South Carolina, a former resident of Aiken, having made North Augusta her home for the past 30 years. She was the wife of the late Reverend J. Cole Brown and was a member of Bel-Ridge Baptist Church and the Hope and Faith Sunday School Class. Mrs. Brown attended St. James Lutheran Church where she was a member of the Red Hatters.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Denise and Martin Scott, North Augusta; a son, Joseph C. "Skip" Brown, III, Aiken; three grandchildren, Joseph C. "Jay" Brown, IV, Andrew L. (Holli) Brown and Christian G. (Rebekah) Scott; two great grandchildren, Andrew Lawson Brown, Jr., and Marilaine Elizabeth Brown; a brother, Frederick Bailey, Columbia; two sisters, Barbara Farmer, Columbia and Gladys Sturkie, Lexington.
Honorary Pallbearers will member of the Red Hatters of St. James Lutheran Church.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 12 noon until the hour of the service.
