Arthur H. Waller
AIKEN, SC - Arthur H. Waller, 90, died Thursday, May 5, 2016 at his residence in Aiken, SC. Born in Lyndon, IL, Mr. Waller was the son of the late David D. and Isabelle Hotard Waller and the widower of B. Edna Park Waller.
Mr. Waller, a WWII and Korean conflict veteran was the recipient of a Silver Star, two Bronze Stars, and four Purple Hearts, as well as other citations and honors. He was also honored by Great Britain with their King George VI medal.
After twenty-two years of military service he worked for the South Carolina Highway Department until retirement.
He was also active in his community with dedicated service with ACTS and was a fourth degree member of The Knights of Columbus, Msgr. George Lewis Smith Council & Assembly, Aiken.
Survivors include a daughter Roseanna Spano (Robert), Aiken, SC; three grandsons, John Spano (Meredith), Easley, SC, Paul Spano, Aiken, SC, Chris Spano, North Augusta, SC; and a sister Evelyn Blashack, Paducah, KY.
Services are private and are under the direction of South Carolina Cremation Society.
