Ashley Widener
WINDSOR, SC - Funeral services for Ashley Abram Widener, 67, of Windsor, SC will be held three-thirty pm Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at the Folk Funeral Home Chapel, Williston, SC with Reverend James Irick officiating. Burial will follow in the Spring Branch Baptist Church Cemetery, Windsor, SC.
The family will receive friends from six to eight pm on Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at the funeral home. Mr. Widener passed away on Saturday, February, 13, 2016.
Born in Aiken County, he was a son of the late Beebe Widener Cushman and was raised by the late Bertha and Willie Widener. Mr. Widener retired from SCDOT Maintenance Department where he worked as a mechanic.
Survivors include his wife, Cynthia "Cindy" Smith Widener of the home; daughter, Lynn (Cecil) Ayers of Aiken; son, Daniel (Shannon) Forbes of Warrenville; step-daughters, Angie Loren of Augusta, GA, Frances (Ollie) Wall of Warrenville, Cindy Bolen of Jacksonville, FL; step-son, Melvin Anderson of Aiken; sister, Geraldine "Sister" Campbell of Aiken; brother, Rudy Cushman of Blythe, GA; grandchildren, Alyssa Ayers, Chase Ayers, Alexus Forbes, Jordan Forbes; mother-in-law, Alice Faye "Punkie" Smith of Windsor; aunts, uncles, cousins and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy Cushman and father-in-law, Pete Smith.
