Barbara Ann Reeves Marvin
AIKEN, SC - Mrs. Barbara Ann Reeves Marvin, 75, wife of forty-eight years to Mr. Joseph David "Dave" Marvin, Jr., entered into rest in the comfort of her home on Wednesday, September 14th, 2016, with her family by her side, under the loving care of Tidewater Hospice.
Born in Kershaw County, SC, she was a daughter of the late Oralee Reeves, who was killed in Iwo Jima, the late Azilea Morgan Reeves Taylor and step-daughter of the late Wilson Taylor. She had been a resident of Riverdale, GA, prior to making Aiken, SC, her home in 2000. She proudly served her country in the United States Navy. Miss Barbara loved taking care of her family, enjoyed sewing and painting and let us not forget, giving Dave a hard time!
In addition to her husband and parents, family members include her children, David Lee Marvin and his wife, Chinla, Hampton, GA and Laura Norton and her husband, Ray, Aiken, SC; grandchildren, Chris, John, Brannon, Alyssa and Rayna Marvin and Jacob, Joseph and John Robert Norton and a sister, the late Dorothy Mae Reeves.
A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, September 17th, 2016, from 1 until 6 o'clock at the family residence.
At Barbara's request, please omit flowers and make memorials in her memory to the Albrecht Center for Animal Welfare. (
