Barbara Woodward Britt
WARRENVILLE, S.C. - Mrs. Barbara Woodward Britt, 78, beloved wife of fifty-eight years to Mr. James H. Britt, entered into rest in the comfort of her home on Wednesday, July 16th, 2014.
Born in Graniteville, SC and a lifelong resident of Aiken County, SC, she was a daughter of the late J.J. and Vivian McAuliffe Woodward. She was the Office Manager for Dr. Tom Cofer for twenty-five years and was a member of Stiefeltown Baptist Church.
In addition to her husband and parents, family members include children, Kimberly Britt Grice, Warrenville, SC, the late Kelly Britt Graves, Kathi Britt (David) Boren, Prosperity, SC, the late James Henry "Hank" Britt and Michael "Mack" (Shelley) Britt, Beech Island, SC; brother, James "Butch" (Brenda) Woodward, Highlands, NC; twelve grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, July 18th, 2014, at 11 o'clock in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Graniteville, SC, with Pastor Alan Quarles officiating. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Tres Pack, Matt Grice, Casey Grice, Zak Grice, Jacob Boren and M.J. Britt.
It has been requested that memorials be made to J.T.P. Kidney Fund, c/o Security Federal Bank, Graniteville, SC.
The family will greet friends (this evening) Thursday from 5 until 8 o'clock at
Hatcher Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Langley, SC.
