SALLEY, SC - Funeral services for Betty Yvonne Miller Adams, 83, of Salley, SC will be held three p.m., Sunday, January 11, 2015 in the Salley Baptist Church with the Reverend Phillip Proveaux officiating; burial will be in the Salley Oakview Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be sent to Salley Baptist Church, P.O. Box 442, Salley, SC 29137. Betty passed away Friday, January 9, 2015.
Born in Fairview, SC she was a daughter of the late John Simeon Miller and Anna Lee Dufffie Miller and was the widow of the Maxie Edward Adams. She was a member of Salley Baptist Church where she enjoyed her church and especially enjoyed helping with Vacation Bible School. She was the clerk for the town of Salley, treasurer for the Salley Rescue Squad, worked for the Salley Manufacturing Company in the shipping department and the Outlet Store.
Survivors include daughters, Debbie (Micheal) Adams Floyd of Murrells Inlet, SC, Robin (Jeff) Adams Hanshaw of Leesville, SC; daughter-in-law, Trina Renew Adams of Simpsonville, SC; grandchildren, Katelyn Ashley Hanshaw, Bailey Elizabeth Adams and a sister, Katie Taylor of Batesburg, SC. She was preceded in death by her son, Ricky Edward Adams; sisters, Peggy Miller Boylston, Josephine Miller Gantt, Carrie Mae Westmoreland and a brother, Barney Miller.
