Beverly Odom Stevens
Aiken, SC - Mrs. Beverly Odom Stevens, 54, beloved wife of Mr. Terry Stevens, of 172 Independent Blvd., Aiken entered into heavenly rest on Thursday, March 20, 2014 at Georgia Regents Medical Center, Augusta, GA surrounded by her loving family.
Mrs. Stevens, a native of Aiken County, was a member of Four Mile Baptist Church and Esther Chapter #347 Order of the Eastern Star. She was a 1978 graduate of Aiken High School and a retiree of Kimberly-Clark Cooperation. She was co-owner and a Floral Designer at Brenda's Balloons, Flowers and Gifts, New Ellenton, SC.
Mrs. Stevens was a totally positive person and always had a kind word and a beautiful smile. She was loved by all who knew her and will be fondly remembered.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Willie Mae Rouse Odom and her sister, Brenda Odom Key.
In addition to her devoted husband, Terry, her memory endures with her father, Mr. Alfornia Odom, Sr., Aiken; loving son, Reginald Jevon Odom, Aiken; four brothers, Alfornia Odom, Jr., of Savannah, GA, Derrick Odom, of Jacksonville, FL, Garrick (Detrice) Smith of Greenville, SC and Theodore (Alexis) Sapp of Atlanta, GA; one sister, Jackie Sapp of Augusta, GA; and five grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church, Talatha Community, 130 Independent Blvd, with Rev. Chauncey Scott, Pastor and Rev. Dr. Joseph H. Cook, Sr., Eulogist. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Friends may call at the residence of her father, Mr. Alfornia Odom, 339 Dry Branch Road, Aiken or at Jackson-Brooks Chapel, 606 Main Street, New Ellenton, SC beginning at 3 PM-8 PM Tuesday, March 25, 2014 and at the church Wednesday one hour prior to the service.
