AIKEN - A Requiem Mass for Bonnie Labeda Bentley will be celebrated at 3 PM on Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 1 until 2:30 at George Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the .
Mrs. Bentley, 76, of Aiken, passed away on Thursday, October 30, 2014. Born in Ashland, Wisconsin, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Agnes Sorrell Labeda. A communicant of St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, Mrs. Bentley was also a Eucharistic Minister and a member of the Knights of Columbus Women's Auxiliary. She was a member of the Friends and Neighbors Bowling League. Mrs. Bentley was also a former owner of a shop in the Alley during the mid 80's called Country Garden and was a teacher's aide at Oakwood Windsor Elementary School. In her spare time, she enjoyed traveling and making stained glass.
Survivors include: a daughter, Shana Gregoretti (Tommy) of Long Beach, New York; a son, Steven Gruber (Beatriz) of Long Beach, New York; sisters, Betty Hass (Robert) of Aiken, Beverly Lehl (Ernie) of Memasha, Wisconsin and Bridget Peters (Richard) of Schenectady, NY; 4 grandchildren, Melissa, Timothy, Alexandra and Jacqueline.
