Broadus Busbee
Aiken - Mr. Broadus M. Busbee, 87, of Aiken, SC, husband of sixty-seven years to the late Mrs. Frances Willing Busbee, entered into rest peacefully on Wednesday, March 7, 2018.
Born in and a lifelong resident of Aiken County, SC, he was a son of the late John and Lillie Temples Busbee. A Korean War Veteran, he proudly and with honor served his country in the United States Army. For his service, he was awarded the Korean Service Medal with two bronze service stars, the United Nations Service Medal and the National Defense Service Medal. He retired from the Graniteville Company where he was a Project Coordinator. He was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church and was a proud member of Star Lodge #99 A.F.M, Graniteville, SC. Mr. Busbee enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening.
In addition to his wife and parents, family members include his children, Pam Burnett and her husband, Al Johnson, Irmo, SC and the late Michael B. Busbee and his wife, Pam, Ft. Lauderdale, FL; siblings, Mae Eubanks, Aiken, SC, Delmas Busbee, Aiken, SC, the late Herman Busbee and the late Dianne Fulmer, grandchildren, Kyle and Kevin Burnett and Nicole, Brandon and Brian Busbee, ten great-grandchildren and well as several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 13, 2018, beginning at 1 o'clock at Shiloh Baptist Church, Aiken, SC, followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 2 o'clock. Dr. Chris Masters will officiate. Interment with Veterans Honors accorded by a United States Army Honor Guard and Masonic Rites accorded by Star Lodge #99, A.F.M., will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Wayne Busbee, Eddie Willing, Kyle Burnett, Kevin Burnett, Brandon Busbee and Brian Busbee. Brethren of Star Lodge will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Memorials may be made to Shiloh Baptist Church.
