Brownie Williams
AIKEN - Brownie Williams passed away peacefully at home on August 14, 2017, at the age of 90.
A native of Bedford county TN, Brownie attended Middle Tennessee State College in Murfreesboro, TN. He served in the US Navy at the end of WWII.
His lifelong occupation was serving the farming communities of Johnston and Bishopville SC for many years. He was the co-owner of Payne & Williams Farm Equipment Dealership representing John Deere.
He loved his Black Angus cattle and supported his family's love of horses, chickens, dogs, cats and other various animals.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Carolyn (McElmurray), son Nat (Crystal) of Lamar, SC, daughter Kim (Mike) of Aiken, SC, daughter Susan (Jay) of Charlotte, NC, sister Mary Evelyn Davidson of Shelbyville, TN, 7 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
A Celebration of Brownie' s life will be held at 11 am, on Friday, August 18, at St. John's United Methodist Church, 104 Newberry St. NW, Aiken, SC with Reverend Nancy Reed officiating. The family will receive visitors at the church beginning at 10:00 AM.
The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to the PruittHealth Hospice team.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that Memorial donations in memory of Brownie be made to SPCA Albrecht Center for Animal Welfare, 199 Willow Run Rd., Aiken, SC. 29801.
