Mr. C. Clyde Hooks
Augusta, GA - Funeral Services for Mr. C. Clyde Hooks, 82, of Tiburon Trail, Augusta, Georgia, who entered into rest March 9, 2014, will be conducted Tuesday morning at 11 o'clock from the Posey Funeral Chapel. Rev. J. Earl Welch officiating. Interment in Pineview Memorial Park with Full Military Honors.
Mr. Hooks was a native of Metter, Georgia having made the North Augusta area his home for over 40 years. He was a member of Belridge Baptist Church, retired as a US Army Veteran with 22 years of service having served in the Korean War and Vietnam.
Mr. Hooks was also retired with Civil Service at Fort Gordon. He was a member of the Korean War Veterans Association, the Jesse C. Lynch American Legion Post #71 and was a past member and Commissioner of the Belvedere Fire Department. He was an amateur radio operator.
Mr. Hooks was preceded in death by his wife of over fifty years, Cora Lee Fallaw Hooks.
Survivors include his wife of seven years, Mary Landers Hooks; two sons, Ernest (Jodi) Hooks, North Augusta and Carl (Debbie) Hooks, Martinez; four grandchildren, Morgan Hooks, Preston Hooks, Brandi Kinser and Christopher Hooks; five great-grandchildren, Breanna Hooks, Keelin Hooks, Aiden Hooks, Collin Stephens and Holly Hooks.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home this Monday evening from 5 until 7.
