BATH, SC - Mrs. Carolyn Roberson Cunningham, 79, wife of the late Mr. Larry David Cunningham, entered into rest on Thursday, January 7th, 2016.
Born in and a lifelong resident of Aiken County, SC, she was a daughter of the late James E. and Jereta Thompson Roberson. She retired from the Clearwater Finishing Plant after twenty-eight years of service. Mrs. Cunningham was a member of Bath United Methodist Church, the Augusta Shrine Club Ladies Auxiliary and the Bath Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed traveling, especially to the mountains and to Spartanburg, SC.
In addition to her husband and parents, family members include her sons, Clarence E. Cunningham, Martinez, GA and David Glenn Cunningham and his wife, Annette, Aiken, SC; sister, the late Helen Roberson Pope, grandchildren, Larry Cunningham and his wife, Cassie, Jason Cunningham and his wife, April, Cara Hair and Kate Pendleton Doriot and her husband, Alex and eight great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Monday, January 11th, 2016, at 3 o'clock in the chapel of Hatcher Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Langley, SC, with Pastors Joe Chandler and Roland Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Graniteville, SC. Pallbearers will be Donald Adams, Donnie Hamrick, Billy Kight, Hector Rodriguez, John Gary Strong and Shawn Johnson.
The family would like to thank the staff at National Health Care for the care provided to Mrs. Cunningham.
It has been requested that flowers be omitted and memorials in her memory be made to the . (www.alzheimers.org) or Bath United Methodist Church.
The family will greet friends on Sunday, evening, from 5:30 until 8:30 PM at HATCHER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICE.
