AIKEN, SC - A celebration of life service for Mr. Charles (Charlie) Allen Torquato, age 71, will be held 3:00 pm Sunday, March 1, 2015 at Rocky Springs Baptist Church with Pastor Wayne Whaley officiating. Interment will take place at a later date.
Mr. Torquato entered into rest peacefully Thursday, February 26, 2015 at his residence surrounded by his family. He was born on September 25, 1943 in Raton, New Mexico and lived in San Pedro, CA, Big Bear, CA and Aiken, SC. Mr. Torquato was employed by Todd Shipyard, Snow Summit and Unico and retired in 2003. Charles was loving family man who each person that crossed his path was touched by his heart. He was a horseman that loved to ride, fish and just be in the outdoors and have a laugh. He was a gentle soul, hard worker, kind, patient, and a laugh and smile that would light up any room. He will be loved and missed dearly. Mr. Torquato was a member of Rocky Springs Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Clara Howard Torquato, daughters Danielle de Laveage, and Raquel Pogue, three grandsons, one granddaughter, three step children, Randy Howard, Steven Howard, Jacque Forest, eight step grandchildren, and seven step great-grandchildren, a sister, Darlene (Larry) Patterson, three nephews. Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Mary Torquato.

The family will receive friends at the church following the service.
