Charles Dennis Hicks
CORSICANA, TX - Mr. Charles Dennis Hicks, 68, husband of Mindi Hicks, entered into rest on Tuesday, December 22nd, 2015, in the comfort of his home.
Born in Aiken County, SC and a former resident of Clearwater, SC, he was a son of Sarah Josey Hicks, North Augusta, SC and the late David Hicks.
He was a graduate of Langley-Bath-Clearwater High School and furthered his education by graduating from the University of South Carolina.
Following his graduation from the University of South Carolina, he relocated to Bellevue, MI, where he began his career with Guardian.
He then transferred to Corsicana, TX, where he retired from Guardian as Safety Director.
Charles enjoyed fishing, hunting, going to the beach, mountains and was an avid Gamecock fan.
In addition to his wife and parents, family members include a daughter, Amy Howell and her husband, Lantz, Houston, TX; step-son, Cain Jennings, Mansfield, TX; siblings, Jerry Hicks and his wife, Sallie, North Augusta, SC, Glynn Hicks and his wife, Diane, Aiken, SC and Lynn Hicks and his wife, Carol, Hilton Head Island, SC; grandchildren, Leyton Howell, Carys Howell, Kiera Howell and Cierra Jennings, seven nieces and two nephews.
In accordance with his wishes, Charles was cremated and a Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, January 16th, 2016, at 2 o'clock at Bath First Baptist Church, Bath, SC, with Pastor Herb Sons officiating.
If so desired, memorials may be made to The , Navarro Unit, 1000 W. 2nd Ave, Corsicana, TX 75110.
The family will greet friends on Saturday from 1 o'clock until the time of service at BATH FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH.
