Graniteville, SC - Mr. Clarence M. Miller was born to the late William and Marina Miller, founders of Miller Funeral Home, Aiken, SC. He completed Trenton HS before moving to Stanford, CT where he enlisted in the US Army. He fought in World War II where he was awarded The American Defense service medal and The European African Eastern Theater Campaign Ribbon, for injuries sustained while in combat. Upon discharge from the military he became the successful owner of Miller Cab Stand, in Jamaica, NY. Clarence continued his career as a Chauffer retiring from NBC after 30 years of service.Once retired he lived in Stanford, CT, and finally Graniteville, SC, his hometown, where he was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church, Graniteville, SC. He faithfully served until declining health.
He leaves to mourn a wife, Lillie Miller. Daughters: Beatrice Ridley Manning, Waukegan, IL, Janine (Kevin) Smith, Elmont, NY, Vicki Miller (Wesley) McCarthy, Graniteville, SC, Sons: Lorenzo Barnard (Nita Miller), Graniteville, SC, Scott (Deitra) Walker, Stockton, CA. Erich Miller preceded him in death. 8 Grandchildren, 10 Great-Grandchildren and 1 Great -Great Grandchild. Cherished Nieces, Nephews, and friends.
Funeral Services will be conducted at Bethlehem Baptist Church, Graniteville, SC on Saturday, March 1, 2013 at 1 o'clock. The family will greet friends on Friday from 6 until 7 o'clock at
