AIKEN - Funeral services for Ms. Daisy Louise Coleman Hyland will be held 1 PM Friday, July 21, 2017 at Mt. Anna Missionary Baptist Church, 2612 Banks Mill Rd (Viewing 12 - 1 PM) with Rev. Jerry Corbett officiating. Burial will follow in Church Cemetery.
Daisy was preceded in death by her parents, her daughters, Deborah and Regina Hyland, her son, John Charles Hyland and her grandson, Kenneth Hyland.
She leaves to cherish her memory: daughters, Viola Hyland, Glenda Hyland, and Davida Hyland; son, David Hyland; her brother, John Coleman; grandchildren, Jeffrey Hyland, Jennifer Baker, Melissa Hyland and Kareem Hyland; great-grandchildren, Jamal Hyland, Kimberly Hyland, Fiona Hyland and Jordan Hyland.
Daisy Louise Hyland (nee' Coleman), daughter of Beatrice Coleman and Charley Vaughn, beloved matriarch to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren was born August 16, 1933 in Aiken, SC. Louise had a deep devotion to her family, both blood and extended. She migrated from SC to Long Island, NY where she raised her family and was a respected employee at Gimbels for 25 years. She brought her professionalism to JC Penney when she returned to Aiken in 1989. Creating many bonds and memories with those who met her, she returned to Aiken to retire and joined Mt Anna Baptist Church as an ardent, memorable community member, always ready with a smile, good word and an offer to those in need. On July 16, 2017, Daisy Louise departed this life to be at peace with her heavenly Father.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 6-7 PM.
