Darthie Nell Boyd
WARRENVILLE, SC - Mrs. Darthie Nell Boyd, 72, wife of the late Mr. Lish A. Boyd, Jr., went home to be with her Lord and Savior, on Friday, July 8th, 2016, in the comfort of her home.
Born in Montgomery, AL and a lifelong resident of Aiken County, SC, she was a daughter of the late William Jackson Skinner and the late Willie Brown Keaton.
She was a member of Warrenville Church of God and retired from the Housekeeping Department at Aiken Regional Medical Centers. Miss Darthie enjoyed yardwork, sewing and fishing.
In addition to her husband and parents, family members include her children, Randy A. Boyd and his wife, Margie, Aiken, SC, Melissa Marchant, Graniteville, SC, Donna Kay Shaw and her husband, Randy W., Macon, GA and Beverly Robin Jester, Graniteville, SC; siblings, Jearlean McKenzie, Register, GA, Martha Joyce, Mixon, Edgefield, SC, Edna Wardlaw, Graniteville, SC, Carolyn Pless, North Augusta, SC and William Raybon Skinner, Pfafftown, NC; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
At her request, Miss Dathie will be cremated and A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday, July 13th, 2016, at 5:30 at Warrenville Church of God, Warrenville, SC, with Pastor Robert Skelton officiating. The family will greet friends following the service at the church.
Another one of Miss Darthie's requests was that flowers be omitted and due to her love for children, memorial contributions in her memory be made to . (www.stjude.org).
