SALLEY - A Graveside funeral service for David Wilson Hall, 66, of Salley, SC will be held 11 a.m., Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at the Salley Oakview Cemetery with the Reverend Henry Cooper officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, July 24th at Folk Funeral Home Chapel, Williston, SC. Memorial contributions may be sent to , Memorial & Honor Program, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. David passed away on Friday, July 21, 2017.
Born in Salley, SC he was a son of the late Gyles S. Hall, Sr. and Sue Lee Adams Hall. He was a member of Salley Baptist Church. In 2004, he retired as a Locomotive Engineer with Norfolk Southern Railway, original passion for his occupation was with Southern Railway (Gives a Green Light to Innovation). He recognized another passion farming and raising cows, as his father, Gyles did. So along with his occupation he carried on that legacy.
Survivors include his loving wife of 46 years, Judy Watson Hall; his daughter and son-in-law Nikki Hall and Jim Parrish of Aiken; grandchildren Wilson, Jesse and Jiliann Parrish; brothers Gyles (Louise) Hall, Jr. of Lexington; Ronnie (April) Hall of Salley, Kenny (Ann) Hall of Gilbert; a life-long family friend Pam English of Salley. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Kenneth Byrd, Dr. Zhonglin Hao and the staff of Georgia Cancer Center at Augusta University.
