BEECH ISLAND, SC - Mrs. December Martin, 48, wife of eighteen years to Mr. John W. Martin, entered into rest on Monday, October 31, 2016.
Born in and a lifelong resident of Aiken County, SC, a daughter of Joseph C. Johnson, Warrenville, SC and the late Linda Powell Johnson, she graduated from Greenwood High School and attended Lander University. She attended the Banner of Love Church, Aiken, SC. December enjoyed couponing, crocheting, scrapbooking and taking care of the elderly. The needs of others were always placed before her own.
In addition to her husband and parents, family members include her children, Megan Dabbs and her husband, Todd, North Augusta, SC, Tybee Martin, Beech Island, SC, Brian Martin and his wife, Angela, Warrenville, SC, Josh Martin and his wife, April, Bath, SC and Jessica Randall and her husband, Jeremy, Graniteville, SC; siblings, Teresa Dyar, Beech Island, SC, Christa Burr and her husband, Michael, Trenton, SC and Joseph C. Johnson, III and his wife, Michelle, Clearwater, SC, grandchildren, Ansley Dabbs, Corey Martin, Caroline Martin, Alden Randall, Rylan Randall and Lily Randall and several nieces and nephews.
The family will greet friends on Saturday, November 5, 2016, beginning at 1 o'clock at New Hope Gospel Chapel, Beech Island, SC, followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 3 o'clock. Pastor Bob Still will officiate. Interment will follow in Warrenville Cemetery, Warrenville, SC. Serving as pallbearers will be George Johnson, Brian Martin, Michael Roberts, Sam Toole, Colbey Murrell and Brandon Mitchell.
December loved the color green and all in attendance are encouraged wear green to the service.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be directed to New Hope Gospel Chapel, should you desire to do so.
