AIKEN, SC - Funeral Services for Dennis Allen Gunnells, 58 of Aiken, SC will be held 11:00 am Monday March 6, 2017 at Central Baptist Church with Pastor Buddy Brinkley officiating; burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4 until 6, Sunday afternoon at Folk Funeral Home in Williston.
Memorial contributions may be made to Central Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 1652 Wire Road, Aiken, SC 29805. Dennis passed away Thursday, March 2, 2017 at his home.
Born in Barnwell County he was a son of Sybil Lain Owens and the late Laurie Gunnells. He retired from Harrington Industries in Aiken, where he painted airplanes, enjoyed selling goods at the Springfield flea market and liked helping at Riches auction in Aiken. He was a member of Central Baptist Church.
Survivors include his mother of Aiken; wife Deloris Miller Gunnells of the home; daughter Jennifer Margaret Brunson of Aiken; sons Dennis Charles Gunnells and fiance; Amanda Joyce Watson of Aiken and Michael Paul (Emily) Gunnells of Aiken; four grandchildren Elijah Michael Brunson, III, Evan Micah Brunson, Kelsey Lynn Gunnells, Jacob Hunter Stevenson; niece and nephew Shelley Zawaki, James Zawaki; uncles, Bob Lain, David Lain, Russell Lain and Aunt Nell Mashburn.
He was preceded in death by a sister Sherri Zawaki and step-father Ronald Owens.
