Donald H. Mundy
AIKEN, SC - Donald H. Mundy, husband of Mrs. Edna B. Mundy, died November 28th, 2015, at home with his family by his side.
A native of Aiken County, he was the son of Ollie O. and Mae C. Mundy.
He was a Veteran of the United States Navy, having served four years at sea from 1944 until 1948. He loved his country and he was a devoted patriot.
In addition to his wife of 57 years, survivors include: two daughters, Cynthia M. Anderson (Steve), of Chesapeake, VA and Donna M. Kruzner (Rick), of Aiken, SC; a brother, R. D. Mundy (Ellie), of Aiken, SC; five grandchildren: David Kruzner, Andy Kruzner (Kelly), all of Aiken, SC, Elizabeth Paul (Doug) and Katie Anderson, all of Richmond, VA and Ben Anderson (Meagan), of Towson, MD; three great grandchildren: Avery, Judah and Samuel Paul of Richmond, VA.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Glen and Wallace Mundy and a sister, Barbara Mundy.
He was self-employed as owner and operator of Mundy's Service Station, known as Mundy's Corner, for 41 years. He retired in 1993.
He was a devoted and faithful member of Lakeside Baptist Church. He especially loved being a helper in his Sunday School Class.
Mr. Mundy was a family man who had one sincere desire to provide for their needs with his time and his love. He loved being "Papa".
The funeral service will be on Monday at 11 o'clock in the Hatcher Funeral Home Chapel with Reverends Tad Marshall, John George and Jim Stephens officiating. Interment will be private.

The family will greet friends from 10 o'clock until service time at the Hatcher Funeral Home, US Hwy. 1, Graniteville, SC.
