Moseley, 82, of Banks Mill Road, passed away Thursday, February 19, 2015 at his residence.
Born February 5, 1933 in Aiken, SC, Mr. Moseley was a son of the late Charles and Birdie Chapman Moseley. A life-long area resident, Mr. Moseley was a member of First Baptist Church of Aiken and retired as Operations Manager after 42 years with South Carolina Electrical & Gas Company. He was an avid sportsman, especially enjoying the USC Gamecocks and the Atlanta Braves. Mr. Moseley enjoyed gardening and cultivating shrubbery. He was a professional bargain hunter and volunteered with Dixie Youth Baseball for many years. He will be remembered as a devoted father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and faithful friend.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Moseley was preceded in death by a son, Chris Moseley; two brothers, Wilson and Charles "Honey Boy" Moseley; two sisters, Florence Jackson and Audrey Roberts; and his pets, Ginger and PePe;. In his passing, he is joined in heaven by many old friends & relatives.
Survivors include his wife, Edith Salley Moseley; a son, Wayne (Toni) Moseley, Aiken, SC; two step-sons, Craig (Kathy) Clamp, Columbia, SC and Calvin (Gail) Clamp, Aiken, SC; eight grandchildren, Nathan Moseley, Sheldon Moseley, Blake Clamp, Kelsey Clamp, Cameron Clamp, Katie Clamp, Boyce Lee Treadwell, and Christopher Treadwell; nine great-grandchildren; a sister, Ina Mae Powell, Warrenville, SC; a daughter-in-law, Lynn Moseley, Aiken, SC; and many beloved nieces, nephews, and friends.
Services will be held on Sunday, February 22, 2015 with visitation beginning at 2 pm and funeral services following at 3 PM in the George Funeral Chapel. The Reverend Doctor Fred W. Andrea III will officiate. Interment will follow in Southlawn Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Sammy Roberts, J.B. Moseley, Glen Moseley, Clint Cude, Jeffrey Cone, Tim Fulmer, and Chris Treadwell. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Tyler Sunday School Class and the Annie Cain Bible Study Group.
