Ella May "Sandy" Baker
BURNETTOWN, SC - Mrs. Ella May "Sandy" Baker, 90, beloved wife of seventy years to Mr. Harold James Baker, entered into rest on Sunday, August 21st, 2016.
Born in Wetzel County, WV, a daughter of the late William Franklin and Emma Elson Crane, she had been a former resident of Chester, WV, before making Aiken County, SC, her home in 1978. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Baker was a much loved member of Midland Valley Community of the Nazarene, where she was a member of the Copen Sunday School Class, sang in the choir and was involved in Women's Ministries.
In addition to her husband and parents, family members include children, Pamela K. Kidder and her husband, Kenneth, Warner Robbins, GA and Gail Matthew Baker, Burnettown, SC; siblings, Jason Henry Crane, Nuttersfort, WV, Blanche Kocher, Reader, WV and Maxine Childs, Parkersburg, WV, the late Pearl Ward and the late Dollie Weisenbburg, grandchildren, Lewis Edward Hall and his wife, Lisa and Michael Hall, great-grandchildren, Jacob Hall, Natalie Hall, Aiden Hall, Ella Hall and Lizzie Garrett, step-grandchildren,
Angela Arrington and Melissa Edenfield, step-great-grandchildren, Michayla Steele, Brandon Bey, Jordan Bey, Chester Edenfield, Adam Edenfield and Levi Van DeGrift and step-great-great-grandchildren, Zaquary Steele and Layla Steele.
The family will greet friends on Wednesday, August 24th, 2016, from 5 until 7 o'clock at Hatcher Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 3464 Jefferson Davis Hwy., Graniteville, SC. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, August 25th, 2016, at 11 o'clock at Midland Valley Community Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Kyle Poole officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Graniteville, SC.
