WARRENVILLE, SC - Ellen W. Arthur, age 91, beloved wife of nearly 73 years to Theodore D. Arthur of Warrenville, S.C. and beloved daughter of the late W. P. and Lola Whisenant, entered into rest on Wednesday, January 20, 2016.
In addition to her husband, survivors include daughters, Cherry Glisson, Warrenville, and Bonnie (Billy) Goff of Beech Island; grandchildren, David Glisson, Chris Goff of Warrenville and Tina Sherrod of North Augusta; great-grandchildren, Clayton Sherrod of North Augusta, Brandon Sherrod of Rock Hill, Sydney and Nicole Goff of Beech Island; sisters, Jean Bahlhorn of Aiken and Gail Simpson of Graniteville. She was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Stan Glisson.
She loved her flowers, camping and traveling with her husband. Her church has been a major part of her life. She loved and trusted Jesus as her Savior, and when able, loved to attend church. When not able to get out, they watch the services life streaming on the computer. She loved to read her Bible, and now she is able to see it all first hand, and be reunited with her loved ones gone on before. What a blessed day that will be. She has just gone before us, but we will see her again; oh, what a day!
A home going celebration will be conducted in the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home on Saturday, January 23, 2016 at 12:00 Noon with visitation one hour prior to the service.
