Ethel Mae Battle Lloyd
AIKEN, S.C. - Mrs. Ethel Mae Battle Lloyd, known as "Dahlin" was born January 20, 1928 in Montmorenci, SC to the late P.J. and Ethel Battle. She departed this life August 23, 2014.
She enjoyed cooking, baking, canning, making candy, crocheting and embroidery.
Dahlin leaves her husband of 67 years, Henry A. Lloyd; five daughters, Alberta Lloyd of Chamblee, Georgia, Gladys (John ) Nichols of Waldorf, Md, Helen (William) Boens, Norcross, GA, Elaine (Raymond) Wright, Aiken, SC and Cheryl (Richard) Pack, Powder Springs, GA; five grandchildren, Raymond C. Wright II, San Antonio, TX, Terrell, Gregory, Tamia, and Richelle Pack; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Blanche Riley, Beech Island, SC and Shirley Lloyd, Aiken, SC; one brother, Perry (Bridget) Battle, Aiken, SC; two sisters-in-law, Thelma Coffee, Springfield Gardens, NY and Gertrude Sullivan, Jamaica, NY; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, August 29, 2014 at Old Rosemary Baptist Church (Viewing from 10:30 AM until the hour of service) and the Interment will immediately follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. A repast will be held at the Lloyd-Kennedy School between 2-4 PM.
The family will receive friends Thursday at the funeral home from 6-8 PM.
