NORTH AUGUSTA, SC - Floyd George Hopkins born 2/19/26 in Huntington, WV to William Curtis & Ina Bobbitt Hopkins was 1 of 7 siblings.
He graduated from Charleston-HS after serving in the Army Air Corps during WWII. He later attended Morris Harvey College. On 11/23/46 he married Joanna Christine Pettit and raised 6 children together. He relocated his family to Fort Lauderdale in 1966 and retired 30 years later to Aiken, SC after working over 50 years in a family business. He was a devout Christian who faithfully attended church and served Christ. He made a profound impression on the lives of many, leaving an eternal legacy. On 7/4/2016 he passed away at the age of 90.
He is survived by his wife Joanna Pettit Hopkins; his children George Stephen Hopkins, Janice Hopkins Moccia, Constance Hopkins Gonzalez, and Carol Hopkins Williams; his three siblings Anna Lee Hopkins Pullen, William Curtis Hopkins, and Raymond Neal Hopkins; 14 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.
