JACKSON - Funeral Services for Mr. Frank Reeder, 83, who entered into rest November 27, 2017, will be conducted Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the First Baptist Church of Jackson. Reverend Marion Britton officiating. Interment in Hillcrest Memorial Park with Full Military Honors.
Mr. Reeder was a native of Augusta, having made Jackson his home for the past 53 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Jackson where he had served as Chairman of the Board of Deacons, Chairman of the Finance Committee, Sunday School Director and a member of the Bararcca II Sunday School Class. Mr. Reeder was retired from the US Navy with 35 years of service and also retired from the Savannah River Site with 32 years of service and was a Past Master of the Hopewell Masonic Lodge #127 AFM.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Carolyn Poole Reeder; three sons, James Michael Reeder, Lonnie Reeder, and John (Tara) Reeder all of Jackson; a daughter, Angela (Gary) Sanders, Gloverville; eight grandchildren, Danny Young, Wesley Reese, Christopher Reese, Brooke Sanders, Rachel Ringstrom, Franklin Reeder, Grant Reeder and Lauren Reeder; two great grandchildren; a sister, JoAnn Farr, Jackson.
Honorary Pallbearers will be the Deacons and members of the Baracca II Sunday School Class of First Baptist Church of Jackson. Pallbearers will be Robert Crumley, Randy Frails, Ray Harris, Jerald McNeal, Grant Reeder, Horace Sweat, James Todd and Rock Willingham.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening from 6 until 8.
