"Randy" Pickering
AIKEN, SC - Fred Ransome "Randy" Pickering entered into rest on April 1, 2016. He was born on June 6, 1958.
Loving wife, Linda Walton Pickering, Aiken; devoted parents, Claude and Anne Johnson, North Augusta and the late Joseph D. Pickering, Sr.; children, Lindsay Norris, WV, Taylor Anne Pickering, PA, Travis Pickering, WV; furbabies, "Blue" and "Little Bit"; grandchild, Kaydance Wright, PA. He is predeceased by brother, Joseph D. Pickering, Jr. He is survived by brother Russell Pickering, North Augusta, sister Beverly Broadwater, North Augusta, in-laws, Tyrone and Joann Walton, Aiken, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Randy graduated from Aiken High in 1977. A lifelong truck driver, Randy retired from VanGuard at Pepperidge Farm after 22 years service.
Randy loved to fish and was an excellent cook. A kind soul who never met a stranger and was always willing to help anyone in need, he will be missed by many.
ACelebration of Life will be held Sunday at 1:00 PM in Vaucluse Methodist Church with Rev. Susan Maddox officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 - 8 PM Sunday at the home of his mother, 3121 Maplewood Dr., North Augusta, SC. Please drop by to visit with Randy's family and loved ones. Burial will be private.
