Freddie Chambers
TRENTON, SC - Mr. Freddie Chambers, 81, of Trenton, SC, beloved husband of sixty-one years to Mrs. Nancy Koch Chambers, entered into rest on Sunday, January 22, 2017.
Born in Edgefield County, SC and a resident of the area most of his life, he was a son of the late Charles Cleveland and Lillian Turner Chambers. A Korean War Veteran, he proudly served his country in the United States Air Force as an AP. He was a former member of Charles Wesley United Methodist Church, had recently joined Warren Baptist Church and retired from Sheet Metal Engineers. Freddie enjoyed his daily visits to Hardees, his weekly visits with the "Has Been Group", eating "Little Debbie" cakes and according to his family, was the "Best Barbequer". More than anything however, he enjoyed spending time with his family.
In addition to his wife and parents, family members include daughters, Debbie Daniel and her husband, Henry, Waynesboro, GA and Marilyn Jordan and her husband, Jim, North Augusta, SC; sister, Vassie Pugh and her husband, Andy, Prosperity, SC; grandchildren, Cynthia Bell, Nelson Daniel, Carol Moeller and her husband, Andreas and the late Christian Giles and her husband, Auburn and great-grandchildren, Jason Bell and Jay Daniel.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Monday, January 30, 2017, at 10 o'clock in the chapel of Hatcher Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 3464 Jefferson Davis Hwy., Graniteville, SC, with Pastor Dave Dillard officiating. Veterans honors will be accorded by a United States Air Force Honor Guard. The family will greet friends immediately following the service at the funeral home.
If so desired, memorials may be made to the or you can also do a random act of kindness for someone in Freddie's honor.
