Grace W. Blackburn
AIKEN, SC - Grace W. Blackburn, 78, wife of Charles R. Blackburn, of Aiken, entered into rest, September 21, 2014 surrounded by her family.
Born April 6, 1936, in Danburg, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Bradley Walton and Nell Adams Walton.
Grace was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Frances W. Chadwick and Carolyn Owen, and her brother, Ben Walton.
She will be deeply missed by her husband of 56 years; her daughters, Pamela Swear-ingen (Lewis Cole Swear-ingen) of Aiken, SC, Karen Blackburn of St. Petersburg, FL, and Teresa Lynn Black-burn of Charleston, SC; her grandchildren, Lewis Cole Swearingen, Jr., Ashley P. Hall (Nathan) and Amy S. Holmes (Stephen); her eleven great-grandchildren; and her sister, Anne W. Jenks of Augusta, GA.
A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, Sept-ember 24, 2014 at 11AM in the chapel of Hatcher Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to SPCA, Albrecht Center for Animal Welfare, 199 Willow Run Rd, Aiken, SC 29801.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Hatcher funeral Home, 3464 Jefferson Davis Highway, Langley. Arrange-ments by Hatcher Funeral Home, Langley, SC.
