Grady Padgett
BATH, SC - Mr. Grady Padgett, 85, beloved husband of sixty-six years to Lila Rucker Padgett, entered into rest on Sunday, June 29th, 2014.
Born in Millen, GA, and a resident of Aiken County, SC, most of his life, he was a son of the late Grady Padgett and the late Gertie Harris Padgett Williams.
He retired from United Merchants. He was a very active member of Langley United Methodist Church where he sang in the choir and was a member of the Lillian Mitchell Sunday School Class.
Grady was an avid Clemson fan, Atlanta Braves fan and enjoyed fishing.
In addition to his wife and parents, family members include grandsons, Dean Ott, Bath, SC and Ben (Sydney) Ott, Warrenville, SC; great grandchildren, Patrick Ott (mother LaDale) and Hayden Ott, daughter, Debra (Wayne) Ott, Warrenville, SC; a very special niece, Susan (Jerry) Cromer, Bath, SC.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday, July 2nd, 2014, at 2 o'clock Langley United Methodist Church, Langley, SC, with Pastor Hugh Baxter and Pastor John Williams, III officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Graniteville, SC. Pallbearers will be Connell Scott, Rufus Barrett, Johnny Crook, Carlus Kight, Kenneth Hughes and Al Norris.
If so desired, memorials may be made to Langley United Methodist Church.
Friends are welcome to call at the family residence.
Friends will be greeted by the family on Wednesday from 12:30 until the time of service at LANGLEY UNITED METHOSIST CHURCH.
