Grady Williamson
Graniteville - Mr. Grady Lee Williamson, 86, of Graniteville, SC, beloved husband of Mrs. Daisy Grizzard Williamson, entered into rest on Sunday, March 4, 2018, he and Daisy's sixty third anniversary.
Born in and a lifelong resident of Aiken County, SC, he was a son of the late James M. and Ruby Smith Williamson. He proudly and with honor served his country in the United States Navy. During his tenure in the Navy he earned a degree in HVAC. He retired from Sig Cox after over forty years of service as Service Manager. He was a member of Midland Valley Community Church of the Nazarene. Mr. Williamson enjoyed gardening, fishing and cooking. He was also known for being a "Jack of All Trades". If it was broke, he could fix it.
In addition to his wife and parents, family members include his children and their spouses, Brenda Kaye (Mike) Merriett, North Augusta, SC, Carol Williamson (Ronnie) Carroll, Graniteville, SC, Julie (Larry) Sharon Bell, Graniteville, SC and Joy Gradene Williamson, Graniteville, SC; siblings, the late Henry Edgar Williamson, Sr., Clifton L. Williamson and Frances Davenport, seven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
The family will greet friends on Wednesday, March 7, 2018, beginning at 2 o'clock at Midland Valley Community Church of the Nazarene, followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 3 o'clock. Pastor Kyle Poole will officiate. Interment with Veterans Honors accorded by a United States Navy Honor Guard will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Graniteville, SC.
