Haskell Dean Chapman
AIKEN, SC - A celebration of life service for Mr. Haskell Dean Chapman, age 65, will be held Tuesday September 15, 2015 at 3:00 pm at Grace Covenant Church of God with Rev. Edgar N. Foster, Sr. officiating.
Interment will follow in Southlawn Cemetery with Military honors accorded by the U.S. Navy Ceremonial Team.
Mr. Chapman entered into rest Wednesday September 9, 2015 at Oconee Memorial Hospital, Seneca, SC.
He was a native and life long resident of Aiken County, SC and was the husband of Mrs. Brenda Hunt Chapman. He was a son of the late Mr. Lonnie Haskell and Mrs. Lillie Verdeen Steadman Chapman.
He was a retired welder and pipe fitter in the construction field, and was employed by Daniels Construction Company and PBM. Mr. Chapman had always been known as quite the handyman when it came to fixing things.
He was an avid fisherman and spent much of his spare time at his ponds on Banks Mill Road. He enjoyed hunting for Indian artifacts and had a huge collection of arrowheads.
He loved spending time outdoors with his children, grandchildren, family and friends. Mr. Chapman attended Grace Covenant Church of God, New Ellenton.
Additional survivors include two sons, Christopher Dean Chapman, Aiken, Terry Brent Chapman, Aiken; one daughter, April Chapman (Chris) Windsor, Aiken; two brothers, Carl "C.Q." (Katie) Chapman, Aiken, Tim (Donna) Chapman, Aiken; one sister Karen (Tom) Lucas, Aiken; four grandchildren, Blake Golden, Hannah Golden, Kaylan Windsor, Evan Windsor, and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Blake Golden, Danny Chapman, Johnny Chapman, Billy Chapman, Lonnie Chapman, Adam Chapman, Matt Chapman, Mark Lucas, Jimmy Lucas. Honorary pallbearers will be Garry Hagan, Billy Gregory, Tony Grantham, Steve Hunt, David Hunt, Lonnie Holley, David Holley, Steve McCracken, and Mark Crisp.
Florist: Please deliver flowers to Grace Covenant Church of God on Monday afternoon between 3:00 and 5:00.
