Heyward Widener
Langley - Funeral services for Mr. Heyward Widener, 74, will be held 2:00 pm Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at Gloverville First Baptist Church with Rev. Jimmy Napier officiating. Interment will follow in Warrenville Cemetery with military honors.
Mr. Widener was the son the of the late Rev. Leonard E. Widener and the late Mrs. Hazel Seigler Widener. He was a native and a life long resident of Aiken County. Mr. Widener was self employed as a contractor in the Heat, Air and Appliance repair industry, and was a member of the Masonic Lodge # 174 AFM, Langley, and a member of Gloverville First Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Michael (Heather) Widener, Langley, Tillman Lee Heyward Widener, Langley; two daughters, Marie (Billy) Pennington, Williston, Lorinda "Rindy" (Rodney) Buffett, Aiken; one brother, Eugene (Jeanette) Widener, Elgin; one sister, Martha Gantt, Graniteville; six grandchildren, Ryan, Eric Buffett, Austin Pennington, Kinleigh, Rahlyn Widener, and McKenzie Widener. Mr. Widener was predeceased by one brother, Leroy "Luke" Widener.
Pallbearers will be Austin Pennington, Ryan Buffett, Eric Buffett, Darrell Shealy, Richard Sanders, and Michael K. Widener.
A visitation with the family will take place 6-8 pm Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at COLE FUNERAL HOME 1544 UNIVERSITY PARKWAY (118 BY PASS) AIKEN, SC, 29801. 803-648-7175.
