Hoyt E. Dunsieth
JACKSON, SC - Funeral Services for Mr. Hoyt E. Dunsieth, 83, of Jackson, SC, who entered into rest July 5, 2014, will be conducted Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Posey Funeral Chapel. Mr. Jerry Hicks officiating.
Interment in the Jackson Memorial Cemetery with Veterans Honors.
Mr. Dunsieth was a native of Cullman, Alabama, a former resident of Lincolnton, having made Jackson his home. He was a member of the Church of Christ and a US Army Veteran of the Korean War. Mr. Dunsieth was a former Mayor of Jackson and a former member of the Jackson Lions Club. While living in Lincolnton he served as a Magistrate Judge and President of the Lincolnton Republican Party. He retired from E.I. DuPont Company at the Savannah River Plant as a Supervisor with 30 years of service. Mr. Dunsieth was preceded in death by his wife, Genell P. Dunsieth, a daughter, Reba Nell Brooks and a son, Eugene Dunsieth.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Dianne and Tony Dorner, Jackson and Brenda and Gary Edge, Beech Island; eight grandchildren, Tracie Mims, Tony Dorner, Jr., Mandy Cannady, Jamie Bolton, Chasity Marshall, Katie Dunsieth, Brad Edge and Jennifer Olyowski; 15 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home this Monday evening from 6 until 8. The family will be at the Edge residence, 48 Kimberly Acres Drive, Beech Island, SC.
