Jacquelyn Blackwell
BATH - Mrs. Jacquelyn Mitchell "Jackie" Blackwell, 76, of Bath, SC, wife of the late George Blackwell, entered into rest in the comfort of her home, on Thursday, May 18th, 2017.
Born in and a lifelong resident of Aiken County, SC, she was a daughter of the late Carey Lester and Bertie Redd Mitchell. She had worked at most of the textile mills in the area, Bath Mill, being the longest. She was a member of the Full Gospel Redemption Center. Jackie enjoyed flower arranging, bird watching, fishing and being with her family. Many a day, she could be found on the banks of the creek behind her house, wetting a hook.
In addition to her husband and parents, family members include her children, Diane Adams and her husband, Roger, North Augusta, SC, Randy Blackwell and his companion, Barbara Youngblood, Warrenville, SC, Pam Blalock and her husband, Jimmy, Aiken, SC, Tony Blackwell, Bath, SC and her four legged child, who was her heart, Spunky, ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 20th, 2017, from 6 until 8 o'clock at Hatcher Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 3464 Jefferson Davis Hwy., Graniteville, SC. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3 o'clock on Sunday, May 21st, 2017, in the chapel of Hatcher Funeral Home & Cremation Service, with Pastor Chris Williams. Interment will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Bath, SC.
If so desired, memorials may be made to the Albrecht Center for Animal Welfare.
