Reverend James L. Irick
WINDSOR, SC - A Funeral Service for Reverend James L. Irick, 70, of Windsor, SC will be held eleven a.m., Thursday, January 12, 2017 in the Folk Funeral Home Chapel, Williston, SC with the Reverends Johnny Hutto and Fred Pruitt officiating; burial will be in the Warrenville Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Thursday. Memorial contributions may be given in Reverend Irick's memory to His Way Baptist Church, P.O. Box 261, Windsor, SC 29856. Reverend Irick passed away on Friday, January 6, 2017.
Born in Howlandville, SC he was the son of the late Wylie H. Irick and Lula B. Burckhalter Irick. He was instrumental in starting His Way Baptist Church where he pastored for several years; he was also involved in the nursing home ministry for a number of years.
Survivors include his wife, Cynthia R. Irick of the home; his daughters Stephanie Vineyard of Phoenix City, AL and Belinda "Marie" Hanks and her husband Tavares Hanks both of Windsor, SC; grandchildren, Edward Mabbott, Terra Lynn Fortney, Brandon Howard Fortney and Tavares James "T. J." Hanks.
