RIDGESPRING - Mr. James Cyrus "Buddy" McGlocklin, Sr., 83, of Ridge Spring, SC, entered into rest on Wednesday, August 16th, 2017, in the comfort of his home, under the loving care of Halcyon Hospice, with his beloved wife of nearly sixty-five years, Mrs. Loiuse Hall McGlocklin, at his side.
Born in Mitchell, GA, a son of the late James Cyrus and Rubie Dye McGlocklin, he had been a resident of Aiken County, SC, most of his life. Pop retired from the Hickman Division of the Graniteville Company, where he was a Mechanic. He enjoyed wood working, fishing and gardening.
In addition to his wife and parents, family members include siblings, the late Brookie Smith, the late Sarah Davis and the late Margaret Kofsky, grandchildren, James Cyrus "Jesse" McGlocklin, III and his wife, Tabitha, Jason McGlocklin, and Jackie McGuffin and her husband, Bobby, all of Ridge Spring, SC and great-grandchildren, Cyrus McGuffin, Logan McGuffin, Grace McGlocklin and Jessup McGuffin.
Friends will be greeted by the family on Saturday, August 19th, 2017, beginning at noon at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, Ridge Spring, SC, followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 1 o' clock. Pastors C.B. Turner and Vollie Gibbs will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jesse McGlocklin, Jason McGlocklin, Bobby McGuffin, Cyrus MuGuffin, Tracy Hall and Steven Davis.
