Jimmie Cromer
GRANITEVILLE, SC - Mrs. Jimmie Cromer, 86, beloved wife of sixty-six years to the late Mr. Jesse C. Cromer, who entered into rest on Sunday, December 20th, 2015, entered into rest on Friday, February 19th, 2016, in the comfort of her home with her family at her side, while under the loving care of Compassus Hospice & Palliative Care.
Born in and a lifelong resident of Aiken County, SC, she was a daughter of the late James Andrew "Jim" and Annie Maude Phillips Moxley.
She was a former employee of Langley Engraving and retired from the Clearwater Finishing Plant where she was a Lab Technician.
A devout Christian, Mrs. Cromer read her Bible daily. She was a very dedicated member of Clearwater First Baptist Church, Clearwater, SC, where she was a member of the Helpers Sunday School Class.
She enjoyed yardwork, gardening, cooking, church activities and helping others. However, more than anything, she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, family members include her children, Susan Toole and her husband, Don and Mark Cromer and his wife, Paula, all of North Augusta, SC; siblings, Linda Hunt, Greensboro, NC, Laverne Moxley, Graniteville, SC, Marion Galloway, Greenwood, SC, the late Dot Seigler, the late Evelyn Inabinet and the late Mildred Yonn and grandchildren, Rebekah Waller and her husband, Brandon, Traver Toole and his wife, Caroline, Paul Cromer and his wife, Melanie and Cole Cromer and great-grandchildren, Jackson Waller, Pace Waller and let us not forget Adalyn Mae Cromer, who is due to arrive April 16th!!
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday, February 24th, 2016, at 2 o'clock at Clearwater First Baptist Church, Clearwater, SC, with Pastor John Bolin and Chaplain Brantley Bryant officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Graniteville, SC.
Pallbearers will be Paul Cromer, Cole Cromer, Traver Toole, Tony Cromer, Brandon Waller, Henry Berry and Rev. Kirby Bunton. Members of the Helpers Sunday School Class and nieces and nephews will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.
The family sincerely appreciates the care and support provided by Compassus Hospice & Palliative Care, Deborah Heffington, Patsy Randall, Tamara Price and Marshall Isaac.
At the request of Mrs. Cromer, if so desired, please make memorials to Clearwater First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 610 Clearwater, SC 29822.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 1 until 2 o'clock at CLEARWATER FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH.
