John was born February 4, 1963 in Alliance, Ohio to John Victor and
Delores Mae Estock Denero. He grew up in Leechburg, PA and moved with his family to Aiken in 1988. John incredibly overcame a childhood traumatic brain injury, and later a debilitating heart condition. Despite his challenges, John always had a kind word and cheerful smile for everyone he met. He was very appreciative of the support and loving care provided by the staff of the Tri-Development Center of Aiken County. As an honorary member of the Faith Riders Motorcycle Ministry, he proudly
coordinated a toy drive for clients of the Tri-Development Center's Operation North Pole.
His interests included camping, writing poetry, playing the keyboard, singing karaoke, and listening to country music, especially Waylon Jennings. His daily routine included fellowship time with his friends at the local Waffle House.
Mr. Denero is survived by his parents and sisters, Pamela Amendola (Salvatore) of Aiken; Sandra Weaver (Steven) of Summerville, Georgia; Linda Nasol (Antonio) of Aiken; Sarah Stegall of Buford, Georgia and nephews, Alexander Kaminski, Christopher Nasol and David Nasol.
